Fashion and Chemistry

How did you get into modeling? I was scouted by a Polish agency when I was 16, but since I was under 18 and living in Sweden, they recommended I start my career locally instead. I chose to follow that advice and eventually ended up at KSTING!

What made you want to become a model? I've been fascinated by the fashion world since childhood. When I was scouted as a teenager, I realized I could actually become a part of it.

What was your first photoshoot like? Most of my first shoots were test shoots to build my portfolio and get used to being in front of the camera, but my first real client shoot was actually through KSTING.

What has been the biggest lesson you've learned from the industry? It’s an incredibly fun job where you constantly push yourself outside your comfort zone, meet amazing people, and use yourself as a sort of "art piece." It’s also a great way to network and learn how businesses operate. It’s an incredibly educational experience.

How has the modeling industry changed since you started? It’s hard to say since I’ve been limited by school and haven’t had the chance to travel or be part of larger productions. But from what I see, the industry in Sweden has become more inclusive and fair, and personality and unique features are more appreciated.

Working with KSTING

How did you come into contact with KSTING? I was introduced to KSTING through an Instagram DM when the platform had just launched. I was curious and decided to give it a try.

Why did you choose to try KSTING over a traditional agency? At my previous agency, competition was high and mostly favored already well-known faces. I didn’t feel my potential was appreciated, and I was eager to move my career forward. When I got the chance to try something new, I took it.

How has your experience booking jobs via KSTING been? Smooth, and it gives me more control over my career and what I want to represent.

What’s the biggest advantage of being your own boss? I can plan my career around other aspects of my life.

KSTING promotes transparency in rates and fees—how important is that in this industry? Extremely important. For many, modeling is a profession and a livelihood, and the industry has historically taken advantage of models with low fees and high agency cuts. Traditional agencies often keep the actual client payment hidden from the model.

How does it feel to have control over which jobs you take and when you work? It’s given me incredible freedom and control, which I really appreciate.

What has been your best job through KSTING so far? The best ones have been where I worked with teams that truly appreciated my work and were kind, fun, and professional. There have been many of those. I also love working with bold makeup or exciting designer looks.

What would you say to someone considering joining KSTING but who is unsure? Give it a try! For me, KSTING made me feel truly valued in the industry.

Work and Inspiration

What’s the best part of being a model? Definitely experimenting with different looks and getting to know various companies in the process.

What are the biggest myths about the modeling industry? That you have to do it full-time and can't balance it with things like studies.

How do you prepare for a photoshoot? I pay extra attention to my nails and cuticles, and make sure my skin is well hydrated.

Do you have a favorite photographer, stylist, or makeup artist you love working with? I've worked with many amazing creatives, so it's hard to choose just one.

What inspires you most in fashion and beauty? Being able to experiment with makeup and fashion. It’s like being a living artwork.

How do you stay motivated in such a tough industry? Mainly the amazing feedback from clients. There’s no better feeling than when a client is so happy they rebook you.

How do you care for your mental health as a model? It’s easy to become overly self-critical. I’ve had moments of self-doubt, only to hear later that the client loved the shoot and wants to book me again. It taught me that we are our own worst critics, and sometimes you just have to ignore the negative thoughts.

What does representation and diversity mean to you in the fashion world? It means welcoming features and identities that aren’t traditionally considered "fashionable."

Style and Lifestyle

How would you describe your personal style? I love second-hand and vintage fashion. I like switching styles day to day—sometimes inspired by Carrie Bradshaw or Gabrielle Solis, and other times by Gabbriette, with darker tones and bold looks. My style is versatile but distinct.

What’s your favorite brand right now? I mostly shop second-hand and focus on personal style over brands. But I’m fascinated by Azzedine Alaïa and his contributions to fashion.

What are you currently obsessed with? Experimenting with makeup. I get a lot of inspiration from creator Lara Violetta.

What’s one clothing item you can’t live without? A pair of long black bootcut jeans. They work with almost anything.

What do you do when you're not modeling? I study full-time to become a civil engineer in biotechnology and chemistry.

If you could work for any brand, who would it be? A high-fashion brand like Chanel, Prada, or Miu Miu.

If you could give one piece of advice to your younger self before starting modeling, what would it be? There is a place for you here!

Future Dreams and Ambitions

What are your future goals in modeling? I want to work with more expressive and unique brands—bold clothes, striking makeup, and the full experience.

What is your dream modeling job? Working in high fashion.

Is there anyone in particular you'd dream of working with? Azzedine Alaïa, though sadly he passed away in 2017.

Do you see yourself modeling full-time, or do you want to combine it with something else? I would love to model more, but I also have a passion for chemistry and dream of working as a chemist after I graduate. Ideally, I want to pursue both.
